Colombo Fashion Week 2009

Colombo fashion week is one of the major fashion events which holds in south Asia. In year 2009 it was held in "Taj Samudra" hotel, Sri Lanka. It started on 19th of February. Major stars & fashion designers had presented their best fashions during the week. Almost all the famous models had performed in it too. Mallika Sherawat

Mallika Sherawat is an Indian model & famous actress. She's one of the few Indian actresses that trying to crossover to Hollywood too. She was born in 24th October in Rohtak,Haryana ,India. She started her film career, acting a small role in the movie "Jeena Sirf Mere Liye".  
Sherawat has been frequently featured in the media as a sex symbol. She is one of the very few of south Asian models who can perform bikinis & inner wears perfectly. Before entering films she appeared in television commercials with famous Bollywood stars like "Amitabh Bachchan" & "Shahrukh Khan". 

                                             "Murder", "The Myth" & "Hissss" were few of her famous films that made her a super star in Bollywood. Sherawat won the 2008 Renaissance Artist Award at the 16th Annual Diversity Awards held in California.On 14 August 2009, Sherawat received a career recognition Honorary Citizenship of Los Angeles for her career achievements and charitable efforts. She has also acted in famous Tamil films like "Dasavatharam" and Kannda films too.
